I have long been fascinated by the colors (even thought these are black and white) and the beauty of death as exhibited during the Mexicano tradition of Dia de los Muertos. I am producing pictures to showcase Day of the Dead iconography, which will include an altar dedicated to the Pinon family. The pictures displayed in this gallery were shot in August 2021, well in advance of the observance.

The exhibition and reception will take place on Saturday, October 30th, 2021 from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Sabine Street Studios, 1907 Sabine Street, Houston, Texas 77007. Please join us. There will be snacks, refreshments, music, dancing and appearances by the Day of the Dead models and makeup artists.
