Day 6 March 21, 2020 “The Cup and the Toilet Paper Roll”
I had no plans on driving around today looking for empty streets to photograph, they were all around. Instead I decided to take Andy to his favorite park for his potty break, naturally, camera in hand.
I came across this odd scene at Clear Brook City Park on Blackhawk. This is not staged. I did not set this up. it was just there, with a small strand of paper from the toilet paper roll blowing in the cool wind.
I noticed the styrofoam cup next to it with the chewed lime wedges, obviously left by the owner of the bath tissue
Any other day this is just a roll of toilet paper someone left on a park bench, perhaps to use in the port-a-potty a few feet away. However, over the past few weeks this carries a new meaning with new questions. Did someone leave this as a joke or a statement? Maybe they came to the realization, once they got home, that they forgot the roll of paper that they spent hours standing in line to obtain.
