It is a surreal site to see the Houston Tunnel System food courts devoid of tables, chairs and mostly people. This spot right here is under Penzoil Plaza. During lunch the entire space pictured here is is a bustling center of voices, laughter, sounds of footsteps, rustling bags of grub and other lunch time activity.
There is a Salata, a Starbucks, a Which Wich, a Chick-fil-A and an Otto’s Barbecue (a favorite of Bush 41) which benefit from this seating area. Starting tomorrow, 03/25/20, these places will be closed until further notice.

However, the Whatburger at 1000 Main St., 77002, may still be open (pictured below).
